The GitHub sidebar brings issues, pull requests and GitHub Projects into the workspace. Use it to choose work without copying an issue into a new conversation by hand.

Connect a repository

  1. Install the GitHub CLI (gh) on the Mac and sign in with access to the repository.
  2. Add its local Git folder as a Dure project. Confirm that its remote identifies the intended GitHub repository.
  3. Open GitHub in the sidebar and choose the repository.
  4. Select Issues, Pull requests or Projects, then use search, filters and refresh as needed.
The sidebar uses your desktop GitHub access. Provider login is separate, and organization or GitHub Projects access may require additional GitHub permissions.

Start an agent from an issue

Click Start on the work item. Dure opens New agent with the issue or pull-request context filled in. Review the task, project, provider and worktree choices, then press Enter or Start agent.

Starting the agent does not itself merge a pull request or close an issue.

Return to the work

If a matching agent already exists, Open returns to it. Read the item detail for discussion and current status, and use its external link when you want the full GitHub page. Check the repository and action before changing GitHub state. Review the agent’s changes and verification using Diff. Keep the issue’s outcome aligned with the work you actually accepted.

Configure the integration

Open Plugin → GitHub → Plugin settings for settings such as refresh interval and the default issue list in the selected workspace. See plugins for compatibility and settings scope. For a remote agent reading issues through the desktop login, use the separate SSH GitHub read connection. Its supported commands and access boundaries differ from the local sidebar.
